Track Rumor: Where to Find the Hidden Star in Maple Treeway

From time to time, you have already picked up a star that was lying around on the race track and and it made you the happiest human alive. But your happiness didn't last long, after a few seconds the magic was over and you began to feel horribly ordinary again. However, what you took as an unexplicaple miracle or an act of a higher power can in fact be achieved by skill only. Unfortunately just in Maple Treeway.

In the picture below the pile of leaves is marked under which you will find the star. It will only appear in the first round and only if you are traveling fast enough (normally not a problem). 

Where the hidden star can be found.

The inclined reader might ask himself how the star got there - a question yet to be answered. To our knowledge there are two possibilities: either the Wigglers hide the star before the race starts or the leaves are compressed during the impact with the vehicle and some kind of chemical reaction takes place. Both theories have their flaws, for instance, if it is a chemical reaction that happens, why does it only happen at this very same place? On the other hand, how would the Wigglers hide items under the piles without having hands?
